Sew-In Wefts vs. K-Tips vs. V-Light: Which Extension Method Is Best for You?
If you're considering extensions, the “best” method isn't universal—it depends on your hair density, lifestyle, and what you want your hair to look like day-to-day. Here's a simple breakdown of three methods I offer.
Quick Answer (30 seconds)
Sew-In Wefts: best for fuller transformations (length + density) with a polished finish
K-Tips: best for highly customized placement and flexible movement
V-Light: best for targeted filling in sparse areas (especially around the hairline/bang area) — not a full-head method
Weft maintenance: typically 6–8 weeks (varies by growth + at-home care)
How I decide what's right (when we speak on Zoom or in person):
Your hair density + overall health
Where you want fullness (all over vs. targeted)
Your styling habits (heat, ponytails, workouts, travel)
Your maintenance comfort level
Your goal (length, density, or both)
